Many years ago, at a performance of David W. Solomons' "Suite for recorder Orchestra", fellow composer Colin Bayliss suggested it would also work nicely with a Chamber Orchestra and created this arrangement.
The performance here is a new and very lifelike realisation of Colin's arrangement by American composer Jeremiah Bornfield.
Landscape before sunrise, more laid back, is based on a setting of many ways in which the world says "Goodnight" (buenas noches, kali nikhta, nos da, oyasummi nasai etc) and is inspired by the view from David's 18th floor flat in London overlooking the multicultural population spread around below.
