Flute solo in Jewish style, full of soulful passages. This was written specially for Robert Billington
The idea came to me from an anecdote in which a double bass student was playing through a fast passage for his teacher and the teacher told him off because just one particular note was played "without feeling". Quite a severe teacher!
Robert later pointed out that there was also a 1960s film called "Once more with feeling" with Yul Brynner.
